Otto takes over as assistant coach of the men's lacrosse program, after spending last season as a volunteer assistant for the Pioneers.
Otto brings a wealth of knowledge and coaching experience to the newly found program and has been instrumental in the development of lacrosse in Lexington and surrounding areas. Otto served as an assistant coach at Lexington Catholic helping with varsity and junior varsity teams. He was also the liaison for the lacrosse team overseeing the team budget and monitoring academic affairs.
Prior to Lexington Catholic, Otto served as head coach of Scott County (Ky.) High School, where he helped start the lacrosse program while overseeing scheduling and season planning. Otto has also served as Co-Director of Commonwealth Kings Lacrosse since 2011 and as a counselor at Future Champ Lacrosse Camp since 2006.
Otto attended Columbia Hickman (Mo.) where he was a first team all-state performer, prior to transferring to Lexington Catholic High School his sophomore season. At Lexington Catholic, Otto was all-state performer for three years and was named a US Lacrosse High School All-American.
He holds a master's degree from Morehead State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky.
