Lexington, Ky. – Senior Emma Oliver turned in a four-goal, five-assist performance as the Transylvania women's lacrosse team completed an undefeated march through the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference regular season with a 22-2 victory over the Mount St. Joseph Lions at Pat Deacon Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to Oliver, eight other Transylvania seniors were honored in a Senior Day Ceremony prior to the start of the game.

The win propels Transylvania's record to 13-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in HCLC play, securing the No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament for the Pioneers. With the loss, Mount St. Joseph falls to 4-10 on the year and 3-3 in league play.

The Pioneers continued their dominant season with the team's eighth 20-goal game of the season while limiting their opponents to less than five goals for the fifth straight game.

Courtney Pontious and Alexis Rubin each scored three goals in the offensive showcase while Bailee Stevens and Harper Zeitz each tallied seven draw controls.

After allowing a Mount St. Joseph goal to open the game, Transylvania reeled off 16 straight goals scored by seven different Pioneers to take a comfortable lead into the halftime intermission.

The Pioneers added three goals to their lead early in the second half before the Lions were able to convert their second and final goal of the day, cutting the Transylvania lead to 19-2.

Following the Lions' goal, senior Kerigan Davis scored her first career goal, followed by a goal from Hannah Fouts that was assisted by senior goalie Mackenzie Dent.

With just over two minutes left in the game, Zeitz recorded the Pioneers' last goal of the game, pushing the final score to 22-2 in favor of Transylvania.

With the regular season complete, the Pioneers will now prepare for the HCLC tournament which begins on Wednesday, May 1. The Pioneers will host this same Mount St. Joseph team in the semifinals on Wednesday night. First draw between the Lions and Pioneers is set for 7:00 p.m. at pat Deacon Stadium.
