The mission of the Transylvania University Strength & Conditioning Department is to strengthen and empower student-athletes, allowing them to develop their greatest mental and physical potential through year-round, research-based sports performance training programs designed to increase athletic ability, reduce injury potential, and prepare student-athletes for NCAA varsity competition.
The training philosophy of the Transylvania University Strength & Conditioning Department is based on developing the body as a whole; including strength, speed, flexibility/mobility, nutrition, and energy system training. Research-based programs are designed to reduce the likelihood of injuries and develop overall strength. We utilize full-body, ground based training to produce powerful athletes. Our coaches strive to be servant-leaders and examples to our student-athletes. Our student-athletes are expected to be self-driven, hard-working leaders in the competitive arena and in the classroom
