Zeitz later scored the game-winner in the seventh minute of overtime to lift Transylvania to a 1-0 start in 2019 SAA play. The senior was 2-for-2 in shot-on-goal to goal conversion on Saturday.
Zeitz followed up with an assist in Sunday's 6-3 defeat in a rematch against Sewanee, which served as a nonconference-only contest. For the weekend, Zeitz racked up five points. The senior now has five goals and four assists for the season.
This is the first player of the week award of Zeitz's field hockey career and the second honor captured by a Pioneer field hockey player this season (Sidney Varney, week of September 9).
