Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL)
Transy athletics exist for our student-athletes and support the ability of our student-athletes to earn compensation from third parties for the use of their name, image, and likeness ("NIL"), consistent with university policy and Commonwealth of Kentucky. To that end, Transy has developed a Student-Athlete NIL Policy that can be found below.
It is each student-athlete's responsibility to review this policy closely and to comply with this policy, NCAA rules, and applicable law. Questions about this policy may be raised to the Athletics Department.

Student-Athlete Annual Disclosure to Combat Campus Sexual Violence
Transylvania University and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are committed to sexual violence prevention. The NCAA requires member institutions to have all incoming, continuing, and transfer student-athletes complete an annual disclosure related to whether the student-athlete has been disciplined as a result of either a Title IX proceeding or a criminal conviction for sexual, interpersonal, or other acts of violence.
Failure to make a full and accurate disclosure could result in penalties, including loss of eligibility to participate in athletics.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of sexual violence you are encouraged to contact your local law enforcement office to report the crimes. Additionally, students can email titleix@transy.edu for information and/or report incidents of sexual violence confidentially to any on-campus counselor. Appointments can be made by emailing counseling@transy.edu.
Support and resources can also be found by reaching out to the RAINN network at https://www.rainn.org/ and Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center of the Bluegrass at https://ampersandky.org/.
Prospective Student-Athletes
Bylaw 13.02.7 Prospective Student-Athlete. A prospective student-athlete is a student who has started classes for the ninth grade. In addition, a student who has not started classes for the ninth grade becomes a prospective student-athlete if the institution provides such an individual (or the individual's relatives or friends) any financial assistance or other benefits that the institution does not provide to prospective students generally. An individual remains a prospective student-athlete until one of the following occurs (whichever occurs earlier):
- The individual officially registers and enrolls in a minimum full-time program of studies and attends classes in any term of a four-year collegiate institution's regular academic year (excluding summer); or
- The individual participates in a regular squad practice or competition at a four-year collegiate institution.
