Lexington, Ky. – The Transylvania men's tennis team wrapped up its opening weekend of spring play on Sunday afternoon with a tough challenge against the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears at Top Seed Tennis Club in the inaugural Transylvania Invitational tournament.

The Polar Bears captured an 8-1 victory over the Pioneers in the final match of tournament play, sending the Pioneers to 0-4 on the year while the Polar Bears' mark was sharpened to 3-2.

Ohio Northern gained the upper hand early on the Pioneers by sweeping all three doubles matches for a commanding 3-0 lead. The No. 1 doubles duo of sophomore twins Nick and Noah McNamee went back and forth with Ohio Northern's Vinh Thai and Matt Garcia before the Polar Bear contingent squeezed out an 8-6 win.
