Transy Volleyball finished up their trip to San Antonio for the Trinity University (Texas) National Invitational today with games against University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Trinity University (Texas). These were their third and fourth matches on their second and final day of the tournament. 

First match against UWEC:

• UWEC was ranked first in the nation in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll for DIII volleyball

• Close sets 23-25, 23-25, 17-25

• 38 kills

• 35 assists

"We raised our level of confidence in today's match. We proved we can play with anyone. We are still working on connecting and putting our unit together" said Head Coach Amy Barmore. 

Second match against TU (Texas): 

• TU (Texas) was ranked number five in the nation in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll for DIII volleyball

• 35 kills

• 45 digs 

• Our serving and serve receive kept us in the game. We were able to stay in system a little bit more this match to compete.

Coach Barmore said of the tournament, "We were able to compete with the highest level this weekend. We competed with two title contenders. We will continue to play at this level to learn and grow for the end of the season. The final result isn't what we wanted but we got so much more out of this weekend. It's a process and we are all learning to trust it. I'm proud."
