On 8/1/2024, the NCAA began a program that will offer former Transylvania NCAA student-athletes post-eligibility insurance coverage. See:

Who is eligible:
- Transylvania student-athletes are automatically enrolled
- Transylvania student-athletes are eligible for 2 years (104 weeks) after they separate from the Institute or voluntarily withdraw from athletics
- Voluntary withdrawal means submission of a formal voluntary withdrawal form from the student-athlete with no intent to transfer and resume intercollegiate sport/activities at another school
What is covered:
- Accidental medical expenses for athletically related injuries sustained during participation in a qualifying intercollegiate sport at Transyvlania that occur AFTER 8/1/2024.
- The injury must be reported, documented and filed with the Transy Sports Medicine department.
- Coverage provides benefits in excess of any other valid and collectible insurance.
- The policy with have a $90,000 excess limit per injury with no deductible.
- $25,000 available for mental health services related to an eligible, documented athletic injury.
