Tiara Harris, a former Transylvania women’s golfer, in in her first year as an assistant coach with the Pioneers women’s golf team.
Harris, who was a four-year letterwinner in women’s golf for the Pioneers from 2011 through 2015, hails from Maysville, Kentucky where she played at Mason County High School prior to her college career at Transy.
Harris has been involved in the game of golf since age 12, when she quickly developed a passion for the game and became a region champion at Mason County.
Harris finished off a solid career for the Pioneers with the second-best score among her Transylvania peers at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships in 2014. Harris ranked second on the Pioneers in her senior campaign in scoring average by round.
The former Pioneer golfer has been with the program following her graduation in 2015 prior to the arrival of head coach Tyrus York.
“I’m excited to work with Tyrus in growing this program by finding the next wave of recruits for upcoming seasons, and help elevate this program to our staff’s expectations,” said Harris.
Harris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Computer Science from Transylvania.
