Transylvania University

Jonathan French joined the Transylvania Athletics Department fulltime in August 2024 as the Assistant Director of Communications and Media. 

French joined Transylvania after serving as a Special Assistant to Holly Sheilley and Jeff Chaney from January 2024 through May 2024. Throughout that time French supported compliance staff by conducting compliance work for numerous teams. Furthermore, he participated in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on recent infraction cases within the NCAA. During his time as Special Assistant, he assisted in hosting the NCAA and Conference Women’s Basketball Tournaments, a Women’s Softball Conference Tournament and the Division III Women’s Golf Championship.

Jonathan French graduated from the University of Kentucky where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing in 2024. During his time as a student, he was involved in professional development programs through the Gatton College of Business and Economics and in Greek life where he served in numerous leadership roles.
