Barrett Meyer begins his fourth year with the Transylvania coaching staff and his third as an assistant coach under Brian Lane.

Meyer joined the men's basketball staff prior to the 2013-14 season and was named assistant coach in 2014.

Meyer, a 2013 Transylvania graduate, was a four-year starter for the Pioneers from 2009-2013. During his time as a player, the Pioneers won a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title and recorded two NCAA Tournament appearances.

During his playing career, Meyer was a three-time selection for HCAC All-Conference honors and was named 2009-10 HCAC Freshman of the Year. He finished his career with 1,328 points, listed 22^nd on the all-time scoring list, and holds the HCAC record for the most 3-point field goals made in a single game (11).
