WILMORE, KY - The Transylvania Men's and Women's swimming and Diving team debuted today for the first time in the 2023-2024 season. Combined, the duel meet would result in a 214-184 score in the Pioneers favor as the Men's team would score 135 to Asbury's 62 while the Women's team would score 79 to Asbury's 122.

The Pioneers would come in 1st in the Men's 200 yard medley relay as Kole Brannock, Lukas Mclntyre-Quinn, Jack Voss, and Isaiah Perkins would be the squad to earn this relay win. 

Adam Tichy would earn 1st in the Men's 1000 yard freestyle as well as the Men's 500 yard freestyle. 

For the Women, Mary Grace Thompson would come in first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.88 as the Men would also win this event as Isaiah Perkins would come in first with 23.49 for the time. 

Senior Olivia Greinke came in first in the Women's 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:30.96 as well as first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.56; followed by fellow senior Hannah Tapp would come in first in the Women's 100 yard freestyle. 

"I always enjoy the first meet because it gives you a quick snapshot of what you are doing well, and what needs to be improved on,"  Head Coach Dave Doolin said. "I loved the effort I saw today."

Transy is back in action next Saturday in Springfield, Ohio versus Wittenberg and Wilmington.
