Julia Vincent has accepted the role of Dive Coach at Transylvania University, joining an elite coaching staff in the Swim & Dive program.
Vincent, a native of the Johannesburg, South Africa, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, earning a graduate degree in Health Promotion, Education and Behavior and an undergraduate degree in Public Health.
Vincent was a three-time Olympian, participating in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 Games as a member of the South African Diving Team. Vincent is a 17-Time South African National Champion and a finalist in the 2024 Paris Games. Vincent has also qualified and competed in fifteen Senior World Events.Â
In her athletic career at South Carolina, Vincent was a Gamecock Women's Athlete of the Year Nominee and the Women's Swim and Dive Gamecock MVP. She was also named as a First-Team All-American Athlete.
In her coaching career, Vincent has been a member of the University of Kentucky Swim and Dive coaching staff for the last two seasons. Vincent has also coached with the Kentucky Dive Club and Spindletop Country Club. Vincent also served as a Graduate Assistant with the University of South Carolina.
"I'm really excited to be here," said Vincent. "I am enjoying the pace of Division III Athletics and working with the Divers at Transy."

Dave Doolin is excited to bring Vincent's experience to the Pioneers.
"We are very excited to add Jules to the coaching staff," Doolin said. "She brings a lot of great energy and obviously has lots of experience."
