Swim and Dive Conclude Regular Season after splitting against RHIT

Men lose 109-177 Women win 160-129

LEXINGTON- The Men's and Women's Swim and Dive team competed in their last meet of the 2023-24 regular season. The Pioneers concluded after splitting with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as the Women won with a score of 160 to 129 and the Men losing 109-177.

Starting with diving, Mackie Redford showed everyone why she was the athlete of the week this past week, placing first in the 1 mtr dive with a score of 268.95 followed up by her first place in the 3mtr dive, where Redford would score a 279.37.

Moving to swimming, Olivia Greinke would place first in both the Women's 100 and 200 Yard Breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:12.13 in the 100 and a time of 2:39.77 in the 200. Logan Thomas placed first in both the Women's 50 and 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing with a time of 25.99 in the 50 and a time of 56.41 in the 100. 

Kole Brannock had a great day as he would win both the Men's 100 and 200 Yard Butterfly, finishing with a time of 52.47 in the 100 and then a 1:57.66 in the 200. Lucas McIntyre-Quinn placed first in the Men's 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:05.43. 

In the relay department, the Pioneers looked strong winning both Men's and Women's 200 Yard Freestyle. The Women won with a time of 1:48.36 thanks to the efforts of Delaney McPhearson, Hannah Tapp, Charlotte Green, and Mary Grace-Thompson. The Men won with a time of 1:31.88 thanks to the efforts of Jacob Young, Isaiah Perkins, Kole Brannock, and Adam Tichy.

This concludes the Men's and Women's Swim and Dive regular season over as the Pioneers will now wait 11 days until February 14th when the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference host Conference meet in Terre Haute Indiana.
