LEXINGTON, Ky. – Transylvania's women's tennis team improved to 7-1 Saturday with a pair of Heartland Conference wins at the Pioneer Tennis Complex.

The Pioneers defeated Defiance 9-0 in their first match of the day before dropping Anderson by a 6-3 count. Transy is now 7-1 on the year and 7-1 in HCAC lay.The Pioneers are the defending HCAC champions.

Transy will step out of conference play on Wednesday with a match at Centre.
