DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre captured the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches Wednesday and went on to hand the Transylvania women's tennis team a 6-3 loss.
The Pioneers, who clinched second place in the Heartland Conference last weekend, are 7-2 overall on the year and 7-1 in HCAC play.
Transy will be back in action on Oct. 9-10 in the HCAC flighted tournament. The team tournament is set for Oct. 15 at the West Indy Racquet Club. The league's top four teams will clash with the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship on the line. Transy made the NCAA field for the first time last year.
