LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Transylvania women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day in style Saturday with a 5-0 victory over Heartland Conference foe Franklin on at Thomas Field.
Ashley Cobane scored her second and third goals of the season for the Pioneers (12-3, 5-2 HCAC), who notched their sixth shutout victory of the season.
Carley Williams, Michelle Schroek and Natosha Bolden also added goals for Transy.
The match was played at Thomas Field to accommodate Senior Day festivities for the men's and women's soccer team. Seniors

Sammi Migliozzi and
Elizabeth Schmitt were honored at halftime. The trio has helped Transy to two HCAC tournament championships and a pair of appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Over their four-year careers, they have compiled a 53-20-2 record and a sparkling 24-6 mark in HCAC play.
The Pioneers dominated the game from the start with 16 shots, 10 on goal, and held the Grizzlies to just one shot on goal on the afternoon.
Transy led 2-0 at halftime, getting scores from Cobane and Williams. The Pioneers padded their advantage in the second period, getting their final score in the 88th minute.
Transy hosts Mt. St. Joseph next Wednesday at 7 p.m. before finishing their regular season at Anderson on Oct. 29. Both are HCAC matches.
