HANOVER, Ind. - Transylvania's women's tennis team swept four of six singles matches Wednesday and went on to a 6-3 Heartland Conference win over Hanover.
Transy improved to 3-0 overall and maintained its HCAC lead with a 2-0 conference mark. The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, hosting conference rival Manchester at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Tennis complex.
Kelsey Fulkerson won her singles match at No. 1 in straight sets and No. 3 Kaitlyn Hizny matched that effort.
Andi Mong won in three sets at No. 4, including a 10-5 third-set victory.
Victoria Haugli also won in straight sets at No. 5.
Hizney and Mong combined for a No. 2 doubles win for the Pioneers and
Samantha Voss and
Victoria Haugli also won at No. 3.
