Kari Dailey scored a first-half goal Satuday, then assisted on
Natosha Boden's score in the second half, powering Transylvania to a 2-0 Heartland Conference women's soccer win over Rose-Hulman.
The Pioneers are 8-4-1 overall and 4-1 on conference play while the Engineers drop to 7-6-2, 2-2-1 HCAC.
Dailey scored her second goal of the season just three minutes into the game, converting an assist by
Lexie DeCamp. Boden's goal, her fourth, came in the 86th minute and clinched the Pioneers' third straight HCAC win.
Transy had a 19-3 edge in shots and a 4-2 margin in corner attempts.
Transy allowed Rose-Hulman only three shots overall, one in the second half, and none was on goal in another strong defensive effort.
Jerrica Scovel got the win in goal for the Pioneers.
Transy is back in HCAC action on Wednesday, when it hosts Earlham at 6:30 p.m. at Hall Field. Earlham entered weekend play in first place in the conference, leading Hanover and Transy by a game.
