Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. - Transylvania amassed a 25-1 edge in shots Friday and rolled to a 3-0 win over Marietta in women's soccer action in the Centre College Showcase, winning its first game of the season.

The Pioneers (1-0) scored twice in the first period and were never threatened by Mairetta (0-1). Transy had a 16-1 edge in shots on goal and 19-1 advantage in corners in a dominating defensive performance.

Amy Ghibaudy had a pair of goals for the Pioneers and Michelle Schroeck added another score.

Jerrica Scovel and Hannah Worrell shared the shutout in goal for Transy.

The Pioneers continue play in the showcase on Saturday, taking on John Carroll at 5:30 p.m.
