LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania's women's tennis team fell from the ranks of the upbeatens Saturday, dropping a tight Heartland Conference match to Rose-Hulman 5-4 at the Pioneer Tennis Complex.
The loss was the first for Transy in four matches, all HCAC affairs. The Engineers are 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
The Pioneers were the preseason choice of HCAC coaches to win the conference women's tennis tile.
Transy is back in action on Wednesday when it travels to Earlham.
