GREENWOOD, Ind. - Senior forward
Kyle Smith has been named the HCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Most Valuable Player for the second-straight season, while six additional Pioneers received All-HCAC honors, the conference announced on Thursday.
"We feel lucky to have had a player of Kyle's quality in our program for four years," said Head Coach Brandon Bowman. "He is one of the best players to not only come through our Transylvania soccer program, but through the Heartland Conference."
Smith was the main offensive force for Transylvania this season, leading the conference in points and goals. The senior forward has scored 18 goals and added eight assists to spearhead the Pioneer offense which ranks first in the HCAC in scoring with 43 goals this season. In conference matches, Smith led the league with 11 goals and 27 points scored in nine matches.
Smith was also a two-time HCAC Player of the Week during the 2013 campaign.
Six Pioneers also received All-Conference honors.

Eric Froschauer received All-HCAC Second Team honors, while senior
Taylor Ballard was named as an All-HCAC Honorable Mention and named to the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Pioneers finished the season with a 13-5-2 overall, and 6-2-1 conference, record after falling in the HCAC final to Rose-Hulman.
