In an electrifying game against #5 Emory, #16 Transy Volleyball pulls off a major comeback to win in five sets. The Pioneers started the match down 0-2 after the first two sets. After making the adjustment and settling in they began their comeback campaign. They went on to win three straight sets to defeat the Eagles 3-2 in front of the home crowd. The Eagles won an NCAA National Championship in 2018 and earned a runner-up finish in 2019.
"What a match! Once we settled in and believed in ourselves, we were unstoppable. We had a great atmosphere here tonight and pushed us through!! I'm super proud of this team," said Head Coach Amy Barmore.
The Pioneers will advance to the NCAA Regional Final tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM at the Clive M. Beck Center at Transylvania. The winner of the final will punch their ticket to the NCAA Elite Eight in Pittsburgh next weekend.
