San Antonio, Tx. - Transylvania diving sophomore Mackie Redford competed in the NCAA Regional round for 1m diving today at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. It was her first in-person NCAA Regional, as she qualified last year but it was done remotely. She finished in 12th place at the competition today, with a final score of 354.85. Tomorrow Redford still has a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships, as she will be competing in the 3m dives.

"Mackie has fought through adversity this entire season, so to see her qualify and make it this far to NCAA Regionals makes me so proud." said Transylvania diving coach Noah Richter  "She was slightly off her A game today on one meter, but the special thing about Mackie is that she is always calm, cool, and collected, so I am confident that she will bounce back for the three meter competition tomorrow."
