For day one of the Mount St. Joe Tournament, the Pioneers played two matches in Cincinnati, OH. They won both in three straight set fashion over #11 Otterbein and Ohio Northern. 

In the first match against Otterbein, the Pioneers defeated the Cardinals in three straight sets for a 3-0 win.

Against Ohio Northern, the Pioneers had an intense first set victory that set the table for a their second straight set victory of the night.

"We blocked and served well tonight, in both matches. We had a total of 17 blocks and 10 aces. We were in-system which allowed our hitters to play free," said Head Coach Amy Barmore. "We got over the hump today. They all made the decision to stop being the almost team and to get it done. And they got it done-together. With that we took down the #11 team in the country and Ohio Northern who had RV."

The Pioneers play again Saturday, September 24th, at MSJ against Christopher Newport University at 1:00PM.
