SPRINGFIELD, Oh. - Transy Field Hockey dropped their road conference matchup to Wittenberg 0-3 Tuesday night. The Pioneers split the season series with the Tigers after defeating Wittenberg earlier in the season 1-0.
The Tigers scored their first goal with just under two minutes left in the 2nd quarter to break the 0-0 tie. Wittenberg would end up getting 13 shots on goal versus the Pioneer defense.
Transy was outshot 1 to 13 on the night, with the lone shot on goal coming from
Gracie Bowling. Wittenberg earned 13 penalty corners to Transy's 3.
Libby Bringard's 10 saves put her at 81 on the season, averaging 5.78 a game with a .750 save percentage.
Wittenberg scored their second goal 11 minutes into the 3rd quarter and their final goal with just 3 minutes left to play to come away with the 3-0 victory.
The loss moves Transy to 1-8 all time vs the Tigers and 0-6 in the NCAC.
Transy (4-10, 0-6) will look for their first conference win next Saturday on the road against Wooster. It's the second game of a four game road trip for Transy. That match will be played at 12 PM.
