Transylvania Volleyball set for Hope College NCAA DIII Volleyball Tournament Regional

Pioneers will face Mount Union (20-8) in opening match

LEXINGTON - The Transylvania Volleyball team earned the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with their four set win over Mount St. Joseph this past Sunday. With the win, Transy has earned its third straight NCAA postseason berth and was selected into the Hope College regional in Holland, Michigan. 

The Pioneers (25-6) will face Mount Union (20-8) tomorrow, November 16th at 11:30 AM. Hope's region consists of eight teams.

The eight team regional will be played at DeVos Fieldhouse on the campus of Hope College. The Pioneers will be playing the opening matchup of the regional.

Other matchups include:

2 PM - Carnegie Melllon vs. Pacific Lutheran

4:30 PM - Case Western Reserve vs. Wisconsin-Stevens Point

7 PM - Hope College (host) vs. Bethany

If the Pioneers win their match versus the Purple Raiders, they'll play the winner of Carnegie Mellom vs. Pacific Lutheran on Friday. The regional title game is scheduled for Saturday at 7 PM.

Ticket cost are as follows: 

All session tickets for adults are $20, $12 for senior citizens and students and $8 for children ages 3-12. Any child under the age of two is free. 

Single day tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students and children ages 3-12 are $5. Any child under the age of two is free.

Transylvania hosted the 2022 regionals last year and advanced to the Elite Eight in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They'll try to repeat again this year and make the trip to Claremont, California where the national quarterfinals will be held at Claremont McKenna and Harvey Mudd Scripps on November 29th.
