In their final road game of the season, the #2 Pioneers claimed their fifth straight HCAC Regular Season Championship at 17-0 against HCAC opponents. With the crown, they'll be the number one seed in the upcoming HCAC Tourament. They extended their season record to 24-0 on the season by defeating the Hanover Panthers 73-56. The Panthers are ranked second in HCAC standings.
Senior Kennedi Stacy reached two significant milestones in the game by grabbing her 500th career rebound and surpassing 1,000 career points. She will be recognized in front of the home crowd on Friday.
"I'm proud of our team's effort on the road this season and conference road games are especially challenging. Hanover did an excellent job of finding gaps against the zone and then converting," said Coach Fulks. "Our seniors did a great job leading down the stretch and it was a fun atmosphere for Kennedi Stacy to hit both milestones. She has played a significant role on both offense and defense for four years and deserves every accolade she receives."
The Pioneers will play their final home game this Friday against the Earlham Quakers at 7:00PM with a Senior Day celebration prior to the game.
