As the HCAC number one seed and host, #2 Transy Women's Basketball won their fifth straight HCAC Championship with an exciting 85-58 win over Hanover, the number two seed. Senior Maddie Kellione was named to the HCAC All-Tournament Team and senior Dasia Thornton was named the HCAC All-Tournament Team MVP. 

In the first quarter, the Pioneers battled with the Panthers, finishing the quarter tied at 21-21. They continued that battle into the second quarter until a key steal from Emilie Teall and perfectly timed three from Kennedi Stacy put the Pioneers up one. After the half, the Pioneers pulled away putting up 29 points to the Panthers' eight. The fourth quarter saw their best shooting percentages led by a surge from Maddie Kellione. 

• Dasia Thornton- 16 points, 10 rebounds for the double-double, 2 steals

• Maddie Kellione- 20 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists

• Kennedi Stacy- 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals

• Sydney Wright- 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals

• Laken Ball- 7 points

"This team entered the year with the goal of being undefeated and winning the conference tournament. To be able to accomplish that, for the second year in a row, is a testament to their competitive spirit and drive to get better every day.  As a coach, I feel lucky and grateful to get to work with them and our outstanding coaching staff every day," said Coach Fulks.
