Tonight, the #2 Transy Pioneers defeated the MSJ Lions 84-33. The win marks Head Coach Juli Fulks' 200th win at Transylvania in her nine years with the program, her other 158 wins coming from her previous position at Lewis and Clark in Oregon, her total is now 358 career wins. In the first quarter, the Pioneers jumped out to a 28-10 lead before finishing off their 15th HCAC win, making them 22-0 overall. In total, they have out-scored their opponents 451-243 in the first quarter so far this season in dominating fashion.
"I was incredibly proud of our defensive effort tonight. We worked hard to make adjustments from our last match-up and executed at a high level today. Additionally, it was a fantastic effort in the paint on offense. Our ability to pass and finish on the interior has been a focus and it's exciting to see the improvement," said Coach Fulks.
The Pioneers will be on the road Saturday at Anderson and at Hanover Tuesday, but return home to Beck next Friday February 17th for Senior Day and their last home game before the postseason.
