At Pat Deacon Stadium, the Pioneers defeated the Illinois Wesleyan Titans this afternoon with a 14-7 final score. The Pioneers had six different scorers balanced with excellent defensive efforts resulting in 33 groundballs, 16 caused turnovers, and 74% on clears. Additionally, they earned 16 draw controls over the Titans compared to their 10.
Coach Rachael Bragg said of the game, "This was a great team win, we focused on the goals we set as a team and were able to accomplish them. We're continuing to build our team chemistry and trust and it showed on the field today!"
The Pioneers will travel to Sewanee March 16th and return home for a matchup with Carthage on March 18th.
