The Pioneers hit the road to Maryville, TN this afternoon for a midweek road game against a very tough #24 Maryville Scots team. The Pios are coming off a 3-1 weekend against Wisconsin-Oshkosh and DePauw. 

In today's game the Pioneers battled early adversity trailing this game early with Maryville scoring in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Four pitchers competed on the mound today against the Scots, including Armstrong, Conner, Hill, and Dillard. Ty Conner led in strikeouts for the Pioneers. Riley Hill and Gabe Dillard would round out the pitching as Dillard ended the game for the Pioneers facing 11 batters with 1 strikeout. 

Batting for the Pioneers just didn't fall in their favor though they made good contact and kept putting the ball in play. Schubert, Hall, Youngblood, Pahl, Mitchum, and Munday each added hits for the Pioneers, but were unable to string them together. Youngblood had another stolen base this game giving him a stolen base in five of the last six games. This game ended early on the Pioneers with a 0-10 final. Maryville is ranked 24th according to D3baseball.com. The Pioneers look ahead to the weekend at home with three-game series Chicago as Transy will play at home on Saturday March 18th for a doubleheader at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with a Sunday 12:00 PM game to finish the series.
