LEXINGTON - Transylvania Women's Golf Head Coach
Tyrus York has announced the promotion of Sarah Fite to Associate Head Coach of Women's Golf.
"I have known Sarah for a very long time and I have no doubt that she will thrive in the role of Associate Head Coach." said Head Coach
Tyrus York. Sarah previously served as a volunteer assistant for the Pioneers during the 2022-23 season.
"I am very excited for my first season as Associate Head Coach. I really enjoyed my volunteer position last year and am eager to be even more involved with the team. Very excited for the season to start so we can get the ball rolling." Said Fite.
A former Division 1 player for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, Fite has a lot to offer for the Pioneer golf program. She has been a Performance Coach for High Performance Golf Academy in Nicholasville, Kentucky where she was the Assistant Director of Junior Golf while giving private lessons. She also was the leader of a semi-private group fitness for junior golfers. Since August of 2020, she has been an Assistant Strength Coach for Big Blue Strength where she coached clients in the directions of reaching their goals in the setting of semi-private group strength sessions.
"Sarah's experience as a former NCAA DI athlete as well as a golf instructor will be extremely valuable to our team," York said of his new Associate Head Coach. "I'm looking forward to working alongside Sarah to help make Transylvania Women's Golf a perennial powerhouse in the HCAC and the country."
Fite earned her degree in Kinesiology from The University of Kentucky in 2022.
