Box Score Atlanta, GA- The Transylvania Women's Soccer team competed in their second game of the season, continuing their opening weekend road trip, facing Oglethorpe University. Transylvania is coming off a season opening win away at Covenant College Friday, winning 3-1. Wanting to set a precedent and ride the momentum, Transy came into Oglethorpe determined to come home undefeated
The First Half
In the first half the Pioneers picked up where they left off, dominating the game from the start. Isabella White opened as the aggressor providing most of the forced action, getting two shots on goal early. Transy applied all the pressure, forcing five corner kicks while not allowing Oglethorpe any offensive action. While this half would conclude without a score, it was apparent that Transy would control the pace of the game.
The Second Half
In the second half the Pioneers hit another gea,r providing all of the offense for the rest of the game. Fifth year senior Audrey Rawls scored the first goal of the day in the 57th minute putting Transy in the driver's seat as the offensive avalanche piled on, having the second goal of the game netted in the '86th minute from freshman Lilia Steen who scored her second goal of the season. This game would end with earning their first shutout of the season and allowing no offensive push for Oglethorpe.
"We possessed the ball extremely well and our team remained composed throughout the game," Co-head Coach Ashley Reinecke said. "The players looked good on and off the ball. We're happy to come home with two wins on the road, and we appreciate all of the families and fans that traveled to show their support."
 Up next for Transylvania is their first home game of the season as the Pioneers defend Pat Deacon Stadium. They'll take on Maryville College on September 7th at 4:00PM.Â
