Box Score LEXINGTON - The No. 2 Transylvania Women's Basketball team won defeated Rose-Hulman 83-37 to remain unbeaten this season, improving to 19-0 overall and 12-0 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Pioneers earned the season sweep over the Fightin' Engineers with the win. 13 different Pioneers scored in the win.

Transylvania extends the longest active winning streak in the NCAA to 52 games and has passed Washburn University's 51 game win streak set between 2005-2006. With their next win, Transy will tie DIII FDU-Florham's 53 game win streak set between 2013-2015.

The Pioneers defense had another impressive showing, holding Rose-Hulman to just 20% shooting from the floor (11-54 FG) and scoreless from three point range. Transy's defense has held their last three opponents to under 27% shooting.

"Our daily approach and commitment to defense has created an expectation of being disciplined and getting stops. It's fun to have challenging defensive goals that they work hard to achieve." Head Coach Juli Fulks said after the win. The Pioneers are holding teams to 41.4 points per game.

Laken Ball reached a career milestone in the win. With her 5th rebound coming in the second quarter, Ball earned her 500th career rebound, joining teammates Kennedy Stacy (640) and Dasia Thornton (885). Ball finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds.

"Laken has been the anchor to our defense for three years." Fulks said. "Her ability to rebound and own her position is a key part of our defensive success."

13 different Pioneers scored in the win. Kennedi Stacy led the Pioneers with 14 points on 4 for 9 shooting. Dasia Thornton finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sadie Wurth created plenty of opportunities for the Pioneers to score and ended the game with a season high 8 assists.

Transylvania's offense put on a clinic. The 83 points scored is tied for their third highest this season. It's the second most points scored in the series history against Rose-Hulman. The Pioneers were 30 of 67 from the floor in the win.

Head Coach Juli Fulks recorded her 388th career win.

Up next: The Pioneers will hit the road for a Wednesday matchup against Hanover. Transy defeated the Panthers 54-39 earlier this season.
