LEXINGTON- The Transylvania Women's tennis team was back in action this weekend as they played the first game of the Transy Winter Invite. Joining the Pioneers in this invite are Greenville University, Piedmont University, and Ohio Northern University. In today's matchup the Pioneers defeated Greenville 7-2.

The Pioneers would sweep in doubles today as #1 doubles was won by Grace Gardner and Katherine winning 8-0. Maria Hayes and Ally Rassenfoss won in #2 doubles, winning 8-3. Finally in #3 doubles, Maddy Williams and Christina Duvall won 8-4.

In singles, the Pioneers would win four of the matches, as #1 singles was won in 2 sets 6-3,6-2. In #4 singles Ally Rassenfoss won in 3 sets after going 0-6,6-0, then 1-0 to win the final set. Maddy Williams would win #5 singles winning in 2 sets 6-3,6-2. Finally in singles #6 Eva Clark would win in 2 sets 6-4,6-1. 

The Pioneers continue the Winter Classic at Lexington Tennis Club tomorrow playing Piedmont University at 5PM.
