ORLANDO, FL- The Transylvania Women's Tennis team had a great day as they faced both Juniata College and Belhaven University. The Pioneers won 8-1 against Juniata only dropping one Singles match. The Pioneers would see victory against Belhaven as well, winning 9-0 where the Pioneers wouldn't drop any match.  

Against Juniata, #1 Doubles the Pioneers would dominate as Katherine Taylor and Grace Gardner won 8-2. In #2 Doubles the pair of Christina Duvall and Maddy Williams would win 8-1. In #3 Doubles the pair of Katie Shaffer and Ally Rassenfoss would also win 8-1 to sweep Doubles. 

In Singles the Pioneers would perform well, winning #1 Singles as Katherine Taylor would win 6-2, and 6-2. In #3 Singles Ally Rassenfoss would dominate, winning 6-0, and 6-1. In #4 Singles Maddy Williams would win 6-0, and 6-0; this would be followed by #5 Singles where Eva Clark would win 6-2, and 6-0 to complete the route. 

Against Belhaven the Pioneers would sweep in both Doubles and Singles as Katherine Taylor and Grace Gardner would win #1 Doubles 8-0. In #2 Doubles the Pioneer duo of Meredith Cooper and Alicia Grider would win 8-1, Doubles would be swept after Abi Kuban and Katie Shaffer would win #3 Doubles due to forfeit. 

In Singles the Pioneers would continue the route as Katherine Taylor would dominate #1 Singles 6-0, and 6-0. In #2 Singles Ally Rassenfoss would win 6-0, and 7-6; in #3 Singles Maddy Williams would win 6-3, and 6-2. Rounding out Singles play, Eva Clark would win #4 Singles 6-3, and 6-3; followed by a #5 Singles win as Katie Shaffer would win 6-1, and 6-1.

The Women's Tennis team will now play tomorrow against Hope College to finish their Spring Break gauntlet, with that match taking place March 14th at 8AM.
