Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse lose on the road to Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE Ohio- The Transylvania Men's Lacrosse team was in action this weekend against Ohio Wesleyan on the road. The Pioneers are coming off a dominating victory over Marietta in their first home game, now traveling for a third time so far in the season. The Pioneers wouldn't be able to carry over the energy they had last week, dropping this game 6-13.

The Pioneers would go scoreless in the first half, then follow up by a stalemate in the second half. In the 3rd quarter the Pioneers would get on the board as Ben Gaccino would get the assist from last week's HCLC Offensive Player of the Week Andrew Welch.

Briggs Beck had another great day from the faceoff x as he would go 8-12 and add 3 ground balls on the day.

"Super proud of our young guys making an impact, especially Briggs Beck." Head Coach Logan Otto said after the game.

The Pioneers would rack up 12 caused turnovers defensively, clearing 13-20. Luke Stetter would have himself a hat trick, first scoring man up half way through the 3rd assisted by Josh Harney. Stetter would score two more times unassisted to give him the hat trick.

Otto would later add, "It is always exciting when you get to compete against programs that play on a national level. We learned a tremendous amount today that we can bring towards our conference season and our remaining games."

The Pioneers will be back at home next game, playing Hanover college in the first conference game of the season. The Pioneers will play Wednesday March 6th at 7PM.
