Men's Lacrosse continue undefeated HCLC play on the road at Spalding

Louisville- The Transylvania Pioneers started their three game road stretch to end the season, today traveling to Spalding University. The Pioneers are in the middle of their Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) play coming into Spalding after a 25-1 win against Mount St. Joseph. Today the Pioneers defeated Spalding 23-0, posting their first shutout of the season and moving to 3-0 in conference. 

The Pioneers are refining their offense heading into the finals stretch of the regular season taking the opportunity tonight to run through their system deep into the depth chart. 29 Pioneers would see action today with 12 different Pioneers scoring, 4 separate Pioneers would have a hat trick today. Head coach Logan Otto said: "We got a chance to continue getting better tonight by working on some things while competing against a tough Spalding team who played through the very last minute."

Luke Hinton and Kade Kruger would continue their strong season as Hinton (18) is tied for 1st in scoring this season and Kruger (16) is tied with 2nd in scoring this season. The tandem would combine an impressive 6 goals, 5 assists, 4 ground balls, and 4 caused turnovers. Rounding out the starting attackmen would be Ryan Geisler who would have 3 goals, then 1 assists, ground ball, and caused turnover. 

Midfield play would be huge for the Pioneers holding Spalding to a 36% clear rate while clearing at 100% today. The Pioneers would dominate in face offs 20-7 as Parker Rowland, Briggs Beck, and Ryan Stachon would all end positive today. The Pioneers would have 16 caused turnovers holding Spalding to just 2 shots.
