FRANKLIN, IN- The Transylvania Women's Tennis team competed against Manchester University and Franklin College today as the Grizzlies would play host in the dual match. The Pioneers would sweep both games 9-0 to stretch their HCAC play to a perfect 3-0 start. 

Starting with Manchester, in #1 Doubles Katherine Taylor and Grace Gardner would set the tone with a 8-0 win, only to be matched by #2 Doubles tandem of Maria Hayes and Ally Rassenfoss having an 8-0 win of their own. Finishing in #3 Doubles Maddy Williams and Christina Duvall would win 8-3. 

Moving to Singles the Pioneers would stay locked in as #1 Singles would see Katherine Taylor winning 6-0, 6-0 for the win. In #2 Singles, Grace Gardner would match the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win of her own. Ally Rassenfoss would win #3 Singles swiftly with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Maddy Williams would win 6-1, 6-0 as well in #4 Singles, in #5 Singles Eva Clark would win 6-1, 6-1. Finished in #6 Singles, Abi Kuban would wrap this up with a 6-0, 6-1 win. 

Against Franklin College the Pioneers continued their dominating play, again sweeping Doubles and Singles. In #1 Doubles Katherine Taylor and Grace Gardner would again win 8-2. In #2 Doubles Maria Hayes and Ally Rassenfoss would also win 8-2, finally matched by Christina Duvall and Maddy Williams who would win 8-2.

In Singles, Grace Gardner would win a quick  #1 Singles 6-1, 6-1. Ally Rassenfoss would win #2 Singles after dropping the first set then winning after a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 win. In #3 Singles Maddy Williams would win 7-5, 6-0 then followed by #4 Singles as Eva Clark would win in 3 sets, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0. Finishing, #5 Singles would be won by Meredith Cooper 6-0, 6-0 and in #6 Singles where Katie Shaffer would win 6-3, 6-4. 

The Pioneers are set to continue HCAC play traveling to Hanover in their make up match due to postponement earlier in the season. This match will take place Saturday April 20th.
