HANOVER, IN- The Transylvania Women's Tennis team was on the road this weekend playing the first match of the weekend against HCAC opponent Hanover College, defeating them 8-1. The Pioneers are coming out of finals week where previously they defeated HCAC opponent Franklin 9-0. 

In Doubles the Pioneers would sweep the Panthers as #1 Doubles would be won by the duo of HCAC Athlete of the Week, Grace Garnder and Katherine Taylor, winning 8-0. In #2 Doubles Maria Hayes and Ally Rassenfoss would win in a close match, 8-7. In #3 Doubles Maddy Williams and Christina Duvall would win 8-0 to clinch doubles. 

Moving to Singles, Katherine Taylor would win #1 Singles 6-1, and 6-0 decisively. In #2 Singles Grace Garnder would win 6-0, and 6-1 as she has shown to play well in either the #1 or #2 spot. In #4 Singles Maria Hayes would win 6-0, 6-0 then winning #5 and #6 Singles due to forfeit.

The Women's Tennis team is at home tomorrow, April 21st at Top Seed Tennis club against Earlham college at 1PM in their last official home match.
