RICHMOND, IN - Transylvania claimed their fourth consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory, defeating Earlham 3-0 on Saturday.Â
Transylvania started their offensive pressure early, as
Gracie Carrigan took two shots in the opening minutes, before landing a goal on her third shot at the 10:49 mark, courtesy of an assist from
Teagan Fahy. The Pioneers would take five additional shots in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime break.
Ellie Held would land the first shot for the Pioneers in the second half, scoring in the first minute at the 45:47 mark. Held would assist on a goal for
Ginger Mooser at the 70:03 mark to give the Pioneers a 3-0 lead that they would maintain for the victory.Â
Carrie Stevens saved three shot attempts in a full 90:00 minute performance in the goal for Transylvania.Â
Transylvania returns to action at Pat Deacon Stadium on Wednesday, October 15th, hosting Mount St. Joseph in HCAC competition at 7:00 p.m.
