LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania faced off against in-conference opponent, Hanover College, on Wednesday night at Pat Deacon Stadium. After 90 minutes of a competitive battle, the score remained even 0-0.Â
The Pioneer offense started the match hot, earning a corner in the 6th minute. Both teams fought for possession and continued to test tactics throughout the next couple of minutes.
Carrie Stevens made a big save in the 41st minute to keep the score all square.
Ellie Held tested the Hanover goalie with a shot in the 42nd minute.Â
Transylvania started the second half, with another corner within the first five minutes. Transylvania's offense continued to press, looking for the opening goal. The offense strung together numerous possessions resulting in a corner or shot. The Pioneer defense stood tall as Hanover's offense continued to attack. In the 83rd minute,
Carrie Stevens kept the score 0-0 with a one-on-one save.Â
Transylvania will travel to Anderson, IN this Saturday to face off against Anderson University. Kick off is set for 1 PM. Live stats and video will be available via transysports.com.Â
