LEXINGTON, KY - After a week of winter weather forced the delay to the start of the season, Transylvania University Softball is ready to kick off their 2025 campaign. Transylvania will host The College of Wooster on Sunday, March 2nd for a double header at John and Donna Hall Field.Â
The Pioneers are prepared to build on their success in the 2024 season that saw them finish 35-10, including a 16-2 record in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC). Transylvania won the 2024 HCAC Championship and advanced to the 2024 NCAA National Tournament last season. In a release from the HCAC, Transylvania was voted as the preseason favorite to repeat as conference champions in 2025, the Pioneers earned 80 points and eight first place votes in the poll of league coaches. Transylvania returns several members of their roster that were All-Conference in 2024 including
Dakota Burke,
Reagan Rouleau,
Ella Steczynski and
Avery Parsons.Â
Transylvania launches the 2025 season on Sunday, March 2nd with a double header against The College of Wooster with the first game starting at 1:00 p.m.
