Lexington, Ky. - Following their 4-1 victory over Hanover in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, the Transylvania Pioneers completed a sweep of the three-game series. The win improved Transylvania's record to 18-13 overall and 11-5 in the HCAC, while Hanover's record fell to 12-20 overall and 8-9 in conference play.

members of their 2025 class:
In the game itself, Transylvania's offense provided the necessary support for their pitching staff. The Pioneers scored three runs in the fifth inning, starting with an RBI single by Ethan Dillon that scored Chris Hedinger. Baxter Tedesco followed with a two-RBI double, bringing home Ethan Dillon and Houston Manning. The final run came in the ninth inning when Bryce Dreher's fielder's choice allowed Camden McAtee to score.
Hanover's lone run came in the fifth inning on an RBI single from S. Perkins.
Transylvania's pitching was a highlight of the night, with Connor Arnold earning the win (3-0) after pitching five innings and allowing just one earned run on 4 hits while striking out 3. Brayden Offenbacher, Cam Warfield, and Gabe Dillard all contributed scoreless innings in relief. Matt Armstrong closed out the game in the ninth, earning his fifth save of the season. This save marked his 18th career save, setting a new school record.
