LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania Men's Basketball won their home game 65-63 against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opponent Rose-Hulman at the Clive M. Beck Center.

Transylvania had three players score in double figures on the afternoon. Both
Luke Idlett and
Hunter Barr were the leading scorers for the Pioneers with 17 points each. Barr also had a double-double on the afternoon with 17 points and 13 rebounds, his fourth double-double on the season.

Transylvania took the early 8-2 lead into the first timeout of the game. The Pioneers expanded their lead by 12 points shortly afterward. The Pioneers achieved their largest lead in the first half at 17 points at the 7:45 minute mark. While the Fightin' Engineers crawled themselves back late in the first half, the Pioneers held a 33-25 edge at halftime.
Luke Idlett was the leading scorer for the Pioneers in the first half with 11 points.
Hunter Barr had nine points to go with six rebounds in the first half. The Pioneers shot 46.2 percent from the floor and 25 percent beyond the arc in the first half.

Transylvania came out of halftime with more focus and expanded their lead by 15 points going into the first timeout of the second half. The Fightin' Engineers kept the game in reaching position during the first 10 minutes of the second half. However, with 10 minutes left, the Pioneers were leading 49-36. While the Fightin' Engineers were still trying coming back, the Pioneers were leading 56-46 with five minutes left in the game. Rose-Hulman cut the lead down to six points with a minute left in the game. Transylvania's defense held on for a 65-63 victory, moving them to 7-7 on the season and 4-3 in conference play. The Pioneers shot 46 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent beyond the arc.
