CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) women's basketball teams competed in week 15 of the 2025-26 season.
Athlete of the Week:
Sierra Kemelgor (Crestwood, Ky.) Transylvania University | Guard | Senior -
Sierra Kemelgor led Transylvania to a comeback victory on the road at Hanover to close the regular season. Kemelgor scored 20 points while grabbing four rebounds, four assists, and four steals. She also went a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Transylvania trailed by five with just over two minutes remaining, but Kemelgor scored six points in the final two minutes, including the final two free throws with ten seconds remaining.
Notable Performances:
- Bella Larrison (Waldron, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Senior - Bella Larrison contributed 17 points and six rebounds in Wednesday's win against Bluffton.
- Macee Heckathorn (Kenton, Ohio) Bluffton University | Forward | Freshman - Macee Heckathorn netted her first collegiate double-double with a career-best 10 boards and 12 points in an 83-54 loss at Anderson on Wednesday night. She was a perfect 6-for-6 at the line, blocked two shots, and added a steal.
- Molly Schulte (Rockport, Ind.) Franklin College | Guard | Sophomore - Molly Schulte closed out the regular season with 18 points and six assists in a win at Manchester. The sophomore shot 38 percent from the field on the week and connected on 88 percent of her foul shots, going 7-for-8.
- Emerson Vlcan (Greenwood, Ind.) Hanover College | Center | Freshman - Emerson Vlcan led Hanover as it closed out the year with Transylvania. Despite dropping the contest in the last minute of the fourth quarter, the freshman dominated the paint scoring 17 points with four rebounds through 30 minutes of action.
- Abi Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind.) Manchester University | Forward | Senior - Abi Rosenkrans wrapped-up her standout season at Manchester with a 16-point, four-assist, three-rebound, and two-steal performance against Franklin on Wednesday. Rosenkrans shot an efficient 7-for-14 from the field and knocked down 2 out of her 4 three-point attempts.
- Kaia Peterson (Cincinnati, Ohio) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Freshman - Kaia Peterson posted a double-double in Rose-Hulman's 70-67 win over Earlham. She scored 13 points on 5-for-13 shooting, while adding ten rebounds, two steals, and one block. With Rose-Hulman up by two, Kaia recorded a steal with 11 seconds remaining, securing the win for the Fightin' Engineers.
