SPRINGFIELD, OH — Transylvania improved to 3–2 on the season with an 11–9 road win over Wittenberg on Saturday, using a strong second quarter and a balanced scoring effort to secure the victory.

Lilly Craft led the Pioneers with a hat trick, while Avery Kirkhope and Presley Helton each scored twice and added an assist. Sofie Garrett, Berkley Harlow, Lily Bratcher, and Chandler Worth each tallied one goal to round out the scoring. Ruby Himes earned the win in goal with six saves.

After trailing 2–1 at the end of the first quarter, Transylvania took control with a five-goal second frame, highlighted by two goals from Craft and one each from Kirkhope, Helton, and Harlow. The Pioneers carried a 6–5 lead into halftime.

Helton, Worth, and Craft added goals in the third quarter to maintain the lead, before Bratcher and Kirkhope sealed the win with fourth-quarter scores. The Pioneer defense held Wittenberg to just four second-half goals while forcing 21 turnovers on the day.

Transylvania finished with a 38–22 shot advantage, won the ground-ball battle 35–31, and split the draw controls 10–10.
