LEXINGTON, KY - Seven Pioneers were named to the College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District Teams for Men's and Women's Basketball on Tuesday. Hunter Barr, Drew Marshall, Sam Stone and JC Walbert represented Transylvania Men's Basketball while Sierra Kemelgor, Keaton Hall and Riley Flinn represented Transylvania Women's Basketball. The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They must also have competed in 90 percent of the institution's competitions, or started in at least 66 percent of the team's matches.
