After A Big Weekend, Chris Kaufmann Earns HCAC Tennis Athlete of the Week

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis teams competed in week 16 of the 2025-26 season.
  
Athlete of the Week:
Chris Kaufmann (Louisville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Senior - Chris Kaufmann had a win at No. 1 doubles at Franklin 6-2 and a big 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. 

Notable Performances:
  • Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez (Villavicencio, Colombia) Earlham College | Freshman - Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez went 2-0 at No. 3 singles this week as Earlham scored wins against IU East and Manchester. Pachon Hernandez played a tight battle against the Redwolves, taking the win 6-7, 6-3, 10-5 in the third spot. Against Manchester, the freshman won 6-1, 6-1. Pachon Hernandez also went 1-1 in doubles play, earning a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles at Manchester.
  • Brendan Hanner (Scottsburg, Ind.) Franklin College | Junior - Brendan Hanner was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 4 singles in Franklin's win over Manchester. He also picked up a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.
  • Henry Blakley (Zionsville, Ind.) Manchester University | Junior - Henry Blakley powered Manchester to its first conference win of the season. Blakley and his partner won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Blakley then won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles in the 6-1 win over Berea.
  • Joao Henrique Nossar (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Sophomore - Joao Henrique Nossar was exceptional in Rose-Hulman's victory over Anderson with a score of 6-1 score. With the win, Rose-Hulman remains undefeated in HCAC play this season at 5-0. Henrique Nossar went 2-0 in the match, earning a win at No. 3 doubles 6-0 and a win at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-2.
